The negotiating team wants to give you an update of the past weeks.   The tandem relationship/me too agreement has been signed off on.  This has to do with wages and benefits.  For those who are not aware of the tandem relationship, it was brought on by the settlement of an arbitration case back in 1964 and entitles the same wages and benefits to Local 1307 (in the forth district)  that are given to Local 1238 (in the third district).   This coming week we will start explaining our proposals and the company will start explaining theirs, and both of us will try to put some agreed packages together to get to a settlement.   This is not saying it will happen in one week.  Calling the Union Hall is the only CORRECT way for information.  The next update will come July 30, 2010.
